So, onto the important stuff. The graphics in PKR are fantastic. Astonishing. Mouth watering. You cannot fault them. The software runs on low spec machines and still delivers, with crystal clear textures and great, realistic 3d characters. The only possible thing that PKR poker software is lacking is the option to really turn up the details and effects if you have a high spec computer. But this is online poker and not Halo 3. PKR have to produce a product that is compact for internet download and works on most machines, which they have done extremely well. Who knows what will happen in the future and for future releases of the PKR software. For now, PKR is without a doubt the best online poker software on the market.
This is where PKR has really excelled. The PKR software looks great, but this is useless if the gameplay is poor. Well, luckily for us the gameplay is awesome. Firstly: Locations. You dont just play in the same plain old poker room, this is PKR we are talking about. Every time you play, it is a different location. You could be indoors, but the environment would be impressive. Or you could be out doors on a boat, or a beech in the bahamas! Now secondly we have characters. The characters are not just a set 10 different avatars, but there are loads to choose from. I was playing yesterday and was joined by an angry clown! These characters all have different voices and sayings. The animations in PKR poker are also fantastic and there are countless things you can do, from laughing hysterically to saying and gesturing bring it on to your opponents. You can also change your stance from happy, aggressive, normal and relaxed. You can even make facial movements like grinning! The detail is incredible. All of this does not only look great, it adds a whole new dimension to the game. You may even be able to notice a tell from a player! Whenever they have a bad hand they may say bring it on for example.
PKR.com has developed a masterpiece in online gaming software. PKR has not just made what we have already with 2d rooms and made it a 3d environment, but has gone so much further. The graphics a great and run smoothly on low spec machines, and the animations are numerous and perfect. You simply have to get involved with this online poker revolution now!
Ok, the boring bits - just for completeness
PKR Poker installs really easily and wont go on a drive with no space unless you tell it to - it has a fully customisable installation. However, you better hope your internets having a good day because it is around 25MB to download. This can take a while on low speed conections, but for most of you this should not be too much of a headache. Installation can take a while because that 25MB is compressed and needs unpacking. But be sure, even if this is a headache for you, the PKR experience is well worth double this effort.
Our test system had built in graphics (poor graphics processing ability - no graphics card) and used a low end budget processor (2.8 Ghz Celeron). We had originally thought we should go straight for our higher end testing system, but decided to test incase it did still perform. We were pleasantly surprised by the PKR poker software. It actually ran completely smoothly, infact it actually ran more smoothly than some 2d poker services we have tested with this system. There has clearly been a lot of effort to make the PKR software available to as many people as possible. The PKR software is extremely well engineered
